Michele’s Book Published

Michele’s Book Published

4 November 2013

Thanks to a lot of work by many of Michele’s friends, her book has finally been published.

It has been a work of love and devotion by many people. I could have never done it by myself.

It is available in several bookstores in Austin and is also available on line at Amazon and Barnes & Nobel. The USA link is given below, but it is available at the international links as well.

Writing a comment on the order link will help others decide if they would like to order the book.

Overview
Michele Kay, a life that was both too much and too short, left behind this story, one of an unforgettable person and an extraordinary time. --Bill Bishop, author of The Big Sort

The Michele Kay Distinguished Speaker Series Continues

04 November 2013

As previewed in the 30 September 2012 posting, we have continued the Series.

The 07 February 2013 event with NPR’s Don Gonyea was well attended. Ken Herman has done an outstanding job getting top-flight people to speak at these events.

The fall event will be Wednesday, 06 November 2013. Ticket sales have been brisk. It will follow the previous fall event format and will feature a panel discussion discussing current political events and how journalists will cover them.

Next year, in late February or early March, we plan to have another electronic media journalist. Ken has been discussing the event with another nationally know journalist, but we have not nailed down a date.

Additional information on the past and future events can be found on the Headliners Foundation web site:
